Stanley’s Scary Christmas

Donation protected
About a week ago Stanley had vet visit where he was diagnosed with Grade 2 Patellar Luxation in both of his knees. For those of you that don’t know this term, Patellar Luxation causes his knees to dislocate chronically; over, and over again. It has gotten to the point that they pop out at least ten times a day and we have to pop them back in every time. The surgery must be done soon to avoid the risk of prolonged pain, tearing a tendon or developing permanent arthritis problems. The only available treatment is surgery. The operation will be done one knee at a time, will involve an 8-12 week recovery in a cast and another six weeks of no running. Considering he is only 1.5 years old and very active; this will be a tough process. The surgery for each knee will be approximately $3,000 plus travel expensives and we are hoping to get him into the first operation before the new year. Unfortunately, we are unable to afford his surgery as soon as it is necessary since we recently had to move to a different state and new house. As many of you know, Stanley is not our pet. Stanley is our beloved child, our pride and joy. This year in lieu of any potential Christmas or holiday presents for us, we would appreciate if you could donate to Stanley’s surgery. It will be a difficult transition for our lil Stan but we would love to keep you updated throughout his recovery. Thank you.
