IJM's Stand4Freedom

MN International Justice Mission Advocates are partnering with University of Minnesota's IJM Chapter and Bethel University's IJM Chapter to host our 2nd Annual event in April called the "Stand4Freedom." The Stand4Freedom is a day when we will stand up against the injustice of modern day slavery to raise awareness and to garner support for the End Modern Slavery Initiative, a bill in congress that could be a game changer for the fight for freedom. The Stand will be on Friday April 8th from 8a to 8p on campus at the U of M at Coffman Memorial Union. The stand will wrap up with a concert featuring Remedy Drive at Sojourn Campus Church Remedy Drive is a rock band with a unique perspective as the lead singer does undercover work to rescue women and girls from international sex trafficking with an organization called Exodus Road. Today, there are an estimated 36 Million slaves in our world.  The team at IJM has the vision of freeing victims of slavery, prosecuting perpetrators and proving that justice for the poor is possible. IJM’s model has provided for the rescue to over 25,000 victims of violence and oppression and worked with local justice systems to provide 900 + convictions of violent criminals.  It is estimated that today, IJM is helping to protect 21 million people across the communities where they work.  IJM’s average rescue operation requires an estimated $6,300 to fund.   Our goal is to raise enough funds to sponsor a FULL rescue operation plus cover the costs of the band/concert!!
