STA Leadership Fund

The STA was founded 6 years ago with the promise to protect, preserve and promote the Sheltowee Trace NRT so that this great trail would host more visitors, day hikers, events and be the backbone of the state trail system. In our 7th year, we remain committed to that vision.
In 2015 the STA started a "Leadership Fund" to enable us to provide a starting salary for the Executive Director and have the financial resources on hand so that we can continue to grow as an organization and take on additional responsibilities for the care and maintenance of the Trace. By the end of December, with donations from our friends and members we were able to fully fund the ED in 2016.
That small commitment, less than 10% of our budget has paid off as we have seen continue growth in all area of our work.
Now through the end of the year, we are asking our friends and members to once again help us have the funds on hand to support the leadership of the STA before we start the new year.
$20.00 a day is what it cost to have a paid ED on hand and have the financial resources to support the Leadership Team in 2016.
Please consider claiming a date and supporting this fund over and above your membership. In 2016 we will go over 400 members, host the 6th Hiker Challenge, see another Chapter formed to help with maintenance, improve and add to the infrastructure of the Trace and do all we can to continue to work have to live up to the legacy of the Trace founder Verne Orndorff.
