WHO AM I?
My name is Julio Gutiérrez, I am 28 years old, I obtained an International Relations Bachelor degree from Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla, Colombia. I am a Free-Spirit, Authentic, Loving and Bounteous man, who firmly believes in the power of Business Design, thus I am on my path to enhance my knowledge as a Business Designer.
WHAT AM I PASSIONATE ABOUT?
I want to become, what I call a Business Designer, so I can turn my Ideas and Passion into a Reality.
Throughout my life, I have realized everyone (individuals and enterprises) play a crucial role in shaping the world into a better place. However, in order to make it happen, we should set efficient processes from the base; and this is where my passion relies on: I want to support individuals and enterprises to CREATE, DESIGN, ITERATE, IMPLEMENT, REDESIGN AND EVALUATE clear processes, programs and/or projects aiming to deliver social impact within their stakeholders.
WHAT DO I WANT TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE WORLD?
As a Business Designer, I dream of leading a Business Design Laboratory, where the most compelling and complex social and economic world issues are going to be solved. I envision myself leading an international and multidisciplinary team researching, creating, implementing and adjusting design methodologies and strategies, which can adapt to merge both business and social contexts into one clear roadmap for individuals and organizations aligning their core activities into making social impact a sustainable and tangible result.
HOW DID I GET TO THIS POINT?
Before beginning my bachelor degree, I pictured a negative and hopeless view of the world. However, as soon as I started connecting with impact-driven people who wanted “to be the change…” they wanted to see in the world (as Ghandi stated). I became aware that the power of transformation relies on each one of us. Therefore, I committed myself to “work with a purpose”.
WHAT ARE MY NEXT STEPS?
As an individual committed to fulfill my dreams and turn my passion into a reality, I need further development on the design field in a balanced theoretical - practical environment. Therefore I have chosen to study a Master degree in Design Management at Macromedia University of Applied Sciences in Munich, Germany.
I have already been accepted by the university. Classes will start in October 2019, so I am currently raising € 9.850 for the first Semester Fee, entrance fee and other related expenses.
WHY THIS PROGRAM?
The MA in Design Management at Macromedia University of Applied Sciences implements action-based educational methods, which will provide me with a major glance of `real world’ approaches and practices. In this sense, the program’s considerable balance between academic and practical assignments would complement the experiences gained through my internships/works, ensuring hands-on experience. In addition, it would also provide me with the possibility to focus in design thinking and learn about other contemporary design methodologies.
WHAT DOES IT COVER € 18.290?
- 6.400 € Semester Fee
- 750 € Entrance Fee
- 300 € Visa Procedure (Visa fee, translation, etc)
- 1000 € Airfare (Colombia - Alemania)
-1200 € Medical Insurance
-8.640 € First Year Allowance (For Visa purposes)
