Laptop Fund

Donation protected
Hey gang, for awhile now people have been asking me for how they can pitch in financially. I always appreciate these questions, but often don't know a good way to go about making that happen. I've decided to have a fundraiser for a new laptop.

Well, I haven't had a functioning laptop in over a year. I've been hoping that I'd get a job that gave me a computer allowance, but that hasn't happened yet and I'm growing frustrated without the ability to work away from home. Like living without a car these past few years, being without a laptop has been surprisingly doable, and I can keep going without one if needs be, but as time has gone on it's worn on me. Obviously, this is a First World Problem, but since I need one, and emailers keep asking me about how to pitch in, I thought I would throw this out there. Please note that GoFundMe takes a percentage, which is something to think about. Also I should say that, should you choose to pitch in, it'll have to be payment for past posts rather than for future ones, as there's a chance I'll get a job in the square world and won't be able to continue blogging. If it helps motivate you, you can consider your donation a rebuke to the people on Twitter who will inevitably make fun of me for running this campaign.

I don't know which model of laptop I'll get; depends on how much I raise. If I reach this goal quickly I may bump it up to a $750 goal. We'll see! Thanks so much, whether you pitch in or not.
