SRGDRR is Expanding!

In June 2013, I tried to rescue a Great Dane in the Hernando County Florida shelter.  After a week of begging and pleading, lawyer and news media, we raised over $2400 to offer to the previous owner or the shelter to let us take Rocky and let us rehab him.  They refused and killed him anyway (domestic violence situation and he protected the victim).  I vowed to do my best to never let another one die in vain.  Since his death, we have successfully rehomed/rehabbed more than 550 Great Danes and Great Dane Mixes in his honor and memory.  I said I would never let them forget and I am striving to have his memory forever etched in their hearts as he is in mine.  I have developed a business plan to help our rescue to not be able to depend on donations solely to run.  We have an incredible upscale facility that is like no other and we need start up funding to get it up and running.  This facility will employ a vet, 6 full time employees and 4 part time employees with plans to expand by year 3 and 5.  We need to raise the start up funds to get the facility built.  The facility will be for dogs and cats and not solely for large breed dogs.  It will help the rescue but mostly the consumers in a 75 mile radius as we will also have a behaviourist and trainer on site.  I don't want to give away too much of our plan but it will absolutely knock your socks off!  So either we raise the funds or find an investor who wants to make it big with us!  We won't give up!
