Hi there! My name is Connor Greenwell, and I'm an 18-year-old vocalist, songwriter, music producer, composer, actor, and director from Centennial, Colorado. I was recently accepted into a competitive summer camp for singers in LA. Hundreds of other talented musicians auditioned for this camp, and I was lucky enough to make the cut!
So now I need your help to get me there!
I've been singing ever since I can remember; it's just a fundamental part of my being. When I was little, my parents would sign me up for sports like soccer and baseball, but all I would do was stand in the outfield and sing to myself, oblivious to the game going on around me--as well as the fly balls whizzing past my head. I couldn't help myself! My parents soon figured out that I belonged not on the field, but on the stage. I started performing with the Colorado Children's Chorale and making my way about the regional theater circuit--I even performed in my sister's high school production of Beauty and The Beast as Chip. As I matured, so did my artistry, and I began to extend my talents across creative disciplines. I developed an interest in music production and composition, which lead to the creation of my YouTube channel, where I post covers and original music. This past summer, I was chosen as one of five teenagers to represent the Invisalign brand in a global media campaign called "Made To Move," where I was mentored by singer and social media influencer, Alex Aiono. My original song "Be With You" was featured in the film, and Alex critiqued my writing and production to make the song even better. I have been lucky enough to attend A Cappella Academy for the previous three summers, and it has completely transformed me, both as a musician and as a person. The mentorship alone is incomparable to any other program in the world; the staff really focuses on bringing out the best in each and every vocalist. I've also made some of my closest friends at camp, and the environment is strictly positive and collaborative. I would be so incredibly blessed to attend A Cappella Academy again for the 2019 session!
The tuition for the camp is $1,995--not including airfare and additional costs. Between AP/IB exams, other summer programs, and saving for college, I want to alleviate the financial pressure on my family as much as possible.
Your contribution will be used towards paying for the tuition of the camp, and every donation will be greatly appreciated. Whether it's five dollars or one hundred, every bit counts!
