Saipan Cares for Animals

Supertyphoon Yutu wrecked Saipan. Much of the island looks like something from an apocalypse film. There to put a smile on all our faces, though, are our loving pets, our fur babies.
Saipan Cares for Animals is a non-profit shelter and clinic here to help all of the animals of the island. All of their dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens were kept safe during the storm, either in the shelter or in foster homes, but much of the complex was damaged. The outdoor patio spaces for the kittens and cats no longer exists. The fencing around the complex and the separated interior yards has been crushed by debris. There is always a need for more food, water, cat litter, medicine, cleaning supplies, and other equipment. The organization receives no government support and relies only on the donations of the island’s citizens. Any donation you make will go directly to Saipan Cares to help rebuild and support their mission to improve the life of every animal on Saipan through sterilization, medication, and socialization.
The organizer of this campaign is a volunteer at Saipan Cares and a foster parent to many of its animals. All money donated will be given directly to the organization. Saipan Cares is operating as a non-profit but it is still working on its 501(c)(3) status so does not yet receive tax free benefits.
