Sports Equipment for Kids in Fiji

Sports education plays a crucial role in the lives of young Fijians. However, it is an ongoing challenge for schools in the remote communities of Fiji to provide resources and materials to their students. Subsequently, student engagement and outcomes are negatively impacted. 

We are a small group of Education students from RMIT University, who are fortunate to have the opportunity to visit schools on Naviti and Nacula Island as part of the Self-sufficiency and sustainability in remote South Pacific Islands project.

We have been asked to make a small donation towards this project, however we believe there is opportunity to give more. Our aim is to raise $600 by 5th November 2018. These funds will go towards purchasing a great selection of equipment sets and team kits for various sports and activities. This equipment will support under-resourced schools to teach and educate children of different age groups and levels through a variety of outdoor recreational and sports activities. It will also provide opportunities for extracurricular activities and improve the quality of yard-based play, giving hundreds of children in the Yasawa Islands another reason to smile.

Any donation will be gratefully received and will hopefully incite some change albeit small to the education of the kids of Naviti and Nacula Island, Fiji.
