Sponsoring a Syrian Family

We are Redbridge Community Support, a group of people from Churches and Mosques in Redbridge.
We are applying to welcome a refugee family (most probably from Syria) to live in Redbridge and to help them to integrate into life in the UK over a 2 year period, through the Community Sponsorship Scheme. We need to raise £9000 to make this happen!
The funds will be used to help the family with expenses like school uniforms, fees for interpreters , courses, special needs they might have etc
We have already raised £6,000 to date, from our £9,000 target, which means we only need £3,000 more to fulfil our target. However, anything raised over £3,000 will go towards our target for the next refugee family we aim to welcome! We therefore need to raise £3,000 by the end of October 2017, when we hope to submit our application.
Through your support the family will know that UK citizens want to give them shelter and care about their safety.
Everyone who contributes is helping to demonstrate that in Redbridge we are a welcoming community.
