Sponsor a disadvantaged child

I work with a number of young people who are in care. They have faced so many barriers in their life, and, statistically, they are destined to have a life that has been thwarted by their underachievement, through no fault of their own.

I would love to be able to take one or two of these students to see a live performance of a play, based on a text they have to study for their English Literature GCSE. The play is in London - they live in the north of England. To travel down on the train, to arrive in the capital, to sit and watch a play come to life on stage, will all have an immeasurable positive impact on them. This is the best kind of revision they could have - learning through experience.
