Spinner Twins Memorial & Medical Bill Fund

Donation protected
Within the past few weeks my brother and sister-in-law have experienced more heartache and devastation than anyone could ever imagine.  RG and Ranada were expecting twins, a boy and a girl, due in June this summer.  Their beautiful family of 4 was about to be 6 and we couldn't have been more excited.  They were halfway through the 2nd trimester and Ranada's belly was showing it.  Everything was so wonderful until a few weeks ago when everything went so wrong.  Ranada went into early labor and has now given birth twice within 3 weeks, once naturally and once via emergency c-section.  Yes, I said twice and 19 days apart.   My nephew, who was born first, did not survive and my niece is fighting for her life in the NICU as we speak.

Family is everything and when your family is hurting you try to do something to help.   I can't take away the pain, but I can try to help ease some of the financial burdens and worries.  100% of all funds raised will be given to RG and Ranada to provide a proper memorial for my nephew, help cover the daunting hospital/NICU bills and offer whatever assistance they need during this time to provide for their family.

Thank you for taking the time to read and a special thank you to those who were able to contribute or share.  Please find Ranada's story below.

As all of you have seen or heard, My husband RG (Ronn) and I were expecting twins, a boy and a girl..

On Tuesday, Jan 22, my baby boy’s water broke. I went to the doctor  and was put on modified bed rest for the remainder of my pregnancy. Unfortunately, a week later, on Jan 29th, my body spontaneously went into labor on its own.  I gave birth to my son, Daronn Alinday Spinner, on Jan 30, 2019 at 1:07am weighing only 12.5 oz. Due to his gestational age of 20 weeks and 5 days, he was born too early to survive outside of my womb. He fought his fight for about 2 hours before giving his wings to God and at 3:11am he became His angel. We are completely devastated, as he would have been our first son...

Unfortunately,  later that evening on the same day as her brother’s birth and passing, my daughter’s water ended up breaking as well.  My labor stopped after I delivered Daronn so his sister has remained inside.  So many fearful thoughts began to overwhelm us all over again, as we didn’t know what her outcome would be. Would we lose our daughter too??? I was placed on hospitalized bed rest until I turned 34 weeks gestation or May 3rd. The goal was to keep her in utero for as long as possible.

After almost 3 weeks of successful and boring bed rest, things took a turn for the worse. I started to feel the slightest mild contractions for the first time since Daronn’s birth so I notified the nurse and doctor. It was determined that she had a prolapsed umbilical cord caused by her foot, which cut off blood flow to her body and resulted in a decelerated heart rate so an emergency C-section was needed to get her out quickly! On Monday, Feb 18, at 23 weeks and 3 days gestation little miss Irie Amore Spinner was born at 6:30am weighing a mere 1lb 4oz.

Neonatologists had to perform chest compressions on her little body to resuscitate her, as she had gone too long without blood flow and oxygen. They were able to get her heart to beat, however, due to the trauma of the first few minutes of her life and her gestational age, doctors were very doubtful she would survive the first 24 hours. We even had a neonatologist tell us that it was time to consider saying goodbye because her stats were not improving at all by mid day.

I visited the NICU to have skin to skin bonding time. We truly believed these were our last moments with her. We took pictures and enjoyed our time for about an hour. Little did we all know, things were about to take a turn...and this time for the better.

Irie received multiple blood transfusions and tons of other medications to try to save her life. Miraculously, 12 hours became 24 hours...24 became 48 and so on... Irie is now stable in the NICU and continues to do very well at ONE WEEK OLD!! Look at how God works!

A loss of a child after delivering vaginally, then an emergency C-section under general anesthesia, and a baby girl fighting for her life in the NICU....
The road ahead is completely unknown.  Things can change any second of any day.  We have been through a whirlwind of events that no parent or family should ever have to endure.  We ask that you continue to lift our family up in prayer.

God bless everyone that has reached out already. We are forever grateful for the outpouring love and affection.

Sincerely,
The Spinner Family
