Spay/Neuter Fund for Farm Cats

$300 of $650 goal

Raised by 9 people in 16 months

We bought a house! Exciting, right? It came with 15 cats (and counting). Which leads to a different kind of excitement. They are cute but this needs to stop! We are partnering up with Farm Feral & Stray to spay/neuter them. For $65 each they will spay/neuter, give a physical, and rabies shot to each cat.  They are ran by donation and are located in Polk County.  (feel free to research)  We are feeding the kittens, as they do not yet hunt -there are 11! This goal total is strictly to spay or neuter. This does not include food or supplement milk. Please help us! We would SO greatly appreciate the help! We would also like to rehome them. Let me know if you're interested! Thank you everyone!

Lucy has hit the 4lb mark and may be spayed now. Precious, or Scaredy Cat, is boarderline. We're waiting for a date from the vet. They are the last of the 9 to be spayed/neutered. We are treating everyone again for a few things, like worms and mites. In most recent events, Graypa got an unexpected haircut after we tried to cut off some clumps he was biting at. Turns out it's hard to see what you're cutting on a long-haired, shaggy, knotted kitty. After a vet visit, he is now stiched up, groomed, and happily hanging out in the house. He isn't sure he wants to be in here and is very weary of the dog but seems alright. He's so sweet. We hope to find him a home. He's kind, affectionate, purs nonstop, and loves to sleep on our lap. I hope to rehabilitate and find homes for most of them. Maybe we could take se kittens from the foundation and do the same for them. We have a soft spot for the program and are trying to help in any way.
We're also collecting homes and wooden crates for cat houses for the foundation. If you see one on the side of the road or have an old one give the Cattown Rescue a call! We have a delivery of 4 wooden crates and an old dog house so far, you could add to the load!

I hope you're able to raise funding from other sources too, Megan. Good for you for getting them spayed and good health to all the creatures on your farm, including yourselves.
