Spare 10 for Canberra 2017

Hey CBR! It's the same deal as last year, but let's see if we can buy even more winter thermals and sleeping bags for our local homeless this year. So please spare your $10, cause every piece of thermal counts.

Who we are: Just two Belco mums keen to spread warmth in the Canberra cold to the peeps in our community that are doing it tough.
Who we're raising money for: It's for the folks who are sleeping rough on our streets and at local shelters. The ones who are freezing but don't have the essentials like most of us take for granted. We're talking the basics: socks, gloves, scarves and beanies.
Our aim: To give these essentials to as many homeless Canberrans as possible. And it is possible! We've done our research and these are the items they're asking for this time of year.
What we're asking for: For YOU to spare $10. That's it.
By sparing $10 we can purchase:
- 1 pairs of thermal socks OR
- 1 thermal scarf OR
- 1 thermal beanie OR
- 1 pair of thermal gloves.
And don't worry, we've crunched the numbers on how far your $10 can go.
How these essentials will reach the homeless:
Based on the money we raise, we'll purchase as many of these items as we can. We'll then distribute to local organisations and shelters to spread the warmth.
Spare us a $10 now:
We need to provide these essentials ASAP because 'Winter is coming!' We'll be purchasing and delivering these goodies in the beginning of June. And yes, that was a Game of Thrones reference!
We hope you can join us by sparing a $10 to spread warmth to those in our community who are doing it tough.
