As many of you know, Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket has been an important hospital for my family. In 2011, my husband Sean Nugent had a heart attack and only three years later my father Bruce Lloyd suffered the same fate. Both are thriving today, thanks to the high-quality care they received from doctors and nurses at this crucial facility in York region.
Southlake serves patients across York Region, Simcoe and Dufferin Counties and even as far north as Muskoka. Home to six regionally designated speciality areas of care, including Cancer, Cardiac and Mental Health. This hospital sees more than 110,000 patients come through their doors every year.
Are you aware that the government does not provide funding for most new and replacement equipment? This is why your support is so important. Funds raised through Southlake's annual golf tournament support urgent priorities at the hospital – things like new beds, stretchers, sterilizers, scopes and monitors - to advanced technology that is changing the way they deliver outstanding care and save lives.
