Sophie's World TT Cadet Challenge

Following some brilliant performances in Luxembourg and Alicante recently,  Sophie Earley from Ormeau TTC  has been invited to play for the four person team to represent the ITTF Hopes team that will compete  at the Global Cadet Challenge in Totorri, Japan.

The team will gather together in Totorri for a week's long camp before the event begins on October 23rd. Sophie is not only representing ITTF but  also Europe, as the team  comprises the top four players from different continents.  The rest of the team are from Egypt, Malaysia and USA.  This event sees the best under 14 players in the world  competing so it is a marvellous accievement for Sophie , her family , her club Ormeau,  Table Tennis Ireland and Table Tennis Ulster  to receive  this invitation.

As Table Tennis Ulster no longer receives Sport NI High Performance funding, Sophie and her family must raise a substantial sum of money to finance her travel and competition expenses.
