Sophie's Medical Shadowing (Greece)

Recently, I was accepted to participate in an international medical fellowship program called Atlantis Global. Atlantis works with pre-health students who wish to pursue a career in medicine and show them what healthcare looks like abroad. In this program, I will have the opportunity to shadow medical professionals in Thessaloniki, Greece for a week and a half, this upcoming winter break. While in Greece, I will learn about their healthcare system and how it may differ from here in the U.S, as well as experience healthcare abroad. My hope is that with this experience, I can continue to broaden my horizons in healthcare and learn more about global health on a bigger scale. 

The cost of the trip is about $2500 plus airfare and other costs while in Greece. By donating to this fund, you will help me pay for the trip itself, as well as airfare and other costs, so I can have this once in a lifetime opportunity.
