Sophia's Medical & Memorial Fund

How can a we say goodbye? We all lost our sweet sweet Sophia, loved by so many. She left us on February 10th after a short battle of illness. But even more, how can her parents and siblings say goodbye? We are all broken hearted. 

On February 9th Sophia awoke very sick. Upon arrival at the hospital she was admitted to the ICU. The short of it is, she went from having a cold to pneumonia and then a vicious blood infection within 24 hours. Her small body fought a courageous short battle. The Children's Hospital did EVERYTHING imaginable to try and save our sweet Sophia Rose.

Sophia and I had a special friendship.  We spent many days together.  All I had to do was to walk into the room and she would run and give me a hug.  Full of life, Sophia and I shared cuddles, ticklefests, and laughter and lots of playtime.

She touched so many lives. We are all the better for it. 
It was hard not to love her. Sophia loved babies.  She had her dolly's close by and took great care. She loved watching car washes and getting Culvers frozen custard topped with M&Ms with her mom.

You may ask, “What can we do?” We can all do something. We can help the Johansson’s by donating to ease the burden of the unexpected financial expenses, including uncovered medical bills and memorial expenses. It doesn’t matter how small (or large) a gift.  It all helps our friends.

Any amount you can give is appreciated. Nothing is too small. The need is immediate.  

Heaven's gain is our loss.  We know she is running, laughing, and enjoying playing with the babies.
