In September of 2015,  Solvita Khaimov was diagnosed with Carcinosarcoma of the Ovary.  Since that time, she has undergone multiple surgeries and invasive therapies, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and radiation.

After treatments available here in the United States had been exhausted, Solvita sought help in Italy, finding advanced and innovative medical care offered at Gemelli University Hospital.  The invasive, high risk surgery to remove the large cancerous tumor was a success.  Solvita has been released from the hospital and is now recovering in Italy and awaiting radiation therapy treatments that will take up to 6 months to complete, followed by possible chemotherapy or nanotechnology therapy.  After these treatments, Solvita will have to undergo difficult reconstruction surgery to replace organs that were removed, this process could take over a year to complete.

Solvita is the mother of 4 beautiful children in Brooklyn ranging in age from 7 to 12 years old.  The road to recovery will be long and arduous for Solvita and her family.   Solvita's husband is the sole income provider for the family, but he is now with Solvita in Italy supporting her and her fight against the invasive ovarian cancer.  With mounting medical bills, travel expenses, and the cost of maintaining two households, the family needs any financial assistance that can be provided.

As friends of Solvita, we are coming to you for your assistance.  Caring and loving, Solvita is also STRONG...she is a fighter!  We have seen her in her struggle against this cancer.  Even through the worst times, we have never known her to complain - her spirits remain high at all times.  Her positive attitude and devotion to her family are inspirational and as friends, we cannot do enough for her and her wonderful family.

Hello all,

I would like to take the time to express how thankful Solvita and her family are with everyone of you for walking with her on this long and painful journey. You all helped her with you prayers, love, and support.
As you all know, Solvita went to Italy in search of other treatment options; which she was able to find. After six months of an excrutating recovery she was able to return to the U.S. and reunite with her beautiful kids.
However, two weeks ago she suffered a colon obstruction which eventually lead to an open fistula. She is now in critical condition. Now she is waiting to undergo surgery not only to close the fistula, but also remove a mass on her pelvis. She is currently waiting for the result of the biopsy .We believe that this was a consequence of all the immunotherapy, nanohnterapy, radiation, and chemotherapy she went through. All these treatments weakened her body and made her more susceptible to these implications.
Under these circumstances Solvita and her family need us now more than ever. As a friend of Solvita, I would like to ask all of you, one more time, for your help and financial support. We don't have words to express how strong Solvita is. She is a warrior!
