Solar Victoria Rebate Fiasco

The Victorian Solar Homes Program is killing local businesses, and hurting families.

The government has stuffed up the roll out, and we’re fighting for the future of the industry. 

So far, the government has ignored us. Now, it’s time to make them listen. 

We’re racing against the clock. We need to get this fixed by the end of the month, or more businesses will be forced to close, more jobs will be lost and more people will be trapped without getting solar on their roof. 

We are going to turn the pressure up. 
 
Your support will send a message that the government cannot ignore. We’re going to run a major campaign with radio, social media, big media presence and a major crisis meeting. 

But we can’t do it alone. Could you please chip in as much as possible, so we can really ramp this up. 

We can fix this scheme, but only if we increase the pressure.

Where will the money go?

We will develop a hard-hitting radio ad, which will run in the weeks beginning 26 August and 2 September.

We will run a strong social media campaign, telling the story of the terrible impact of Solar Homes on solar businesses, workers and families.

We will get the story out to suburban and regional newspapers and radio stations across Victoria. With sufficient funding, we will look at newspaper advertising.

We will hold a Save Solar Crisis Meeting in Melbourne in the week beginning 26 August.

We will organise a program of meetings with MPs and key decision-makers.

We will fix the Solar Homes mess.
