SoHumane Animal Shelter Fund

The Southern Oregon Humane Society (affectionately known as SoHumane) needs your help.  For nearly 100 years, SoHumane has served as Southern Oregon’s leading no-kill animal shelter. Its dedicated staff and volunteers work tirelessly to provide homeless cats and dogs with shelter, food, and compassion until a family is able to adopt and provide them with a safe home.  For these animals, SoHumane is a life-saving refuge.  For many Southern Oregon families, the shelter has provided the joy that only a beloved rescued pet companion can bring.  While SoHumane’s staff continues to provide the loving care these animals so desperately need, their facilities have worn down over time. 

The Medford Chamber Leadership Class is currently asking for donations to fund the restoration project of SoHumane’s facilities. Many of the shelter’s critical buildings need to be repaired so the staff and animals can have the basic and essential support they so desperately need.  Work has already begun. Below are links with additional information, and we will continue to update this page as the rebuilding continues.

Our goal is to raise $45,000.  All donations will go directly to restoring the facility’s essential features. This is a community effort. The thoughtful restoration the community can provide, with the help of the Medford Chamber Leadership program, will restore the facilities to reflect the love and care for the animals that happens daily within SoHumane.
