Hello everyone,
My name is Sofia Pineda Alvarez, I am 14 years old and I live in Valledupar, Colombia. A couple of weeks ago, I was diagnosed with a Grade IV Medulloblastoma in my Cerebellum and I had to have an emergency, very complicated, surgery. I know it sounds very terrifying, but thanks to the grace of God and the skills of my medical team, I was able to survive the surgery. I have to thank to my beautiful family and my loving parents for all of their support and for getting this campaign started on my behalf while I am in the ICU, I know they are doing everything they can to help the improvement of my health condition. They will read me all of the encouraging messages and prayers you all post here for me.
Today, I come to all of you to ask for a donation, however small it may be, to help me and my family afford the expensive surgery I went through and the following chemotherapy and radiation treatment. Unfortunately, even though the surgery was a success, they were only able to remove 90% due to its location.
My mom is taking care of me 100% of the time and my dad the only one currently working hard and, unfortunately, it isn't enough to support my mom, my brother, and me as well as to pay for all the treatments.
I humbly ask for your prayers, positive messages, and any donations you may be able to afford so I can overcome this obstacle and live my life to the fullest, painting and being with my family. God bless you and thank you for taking the time to check out my campaign!

Mi nombre es Sofia Pineda Alvarez, tengo 14 años y vivo en Valledupar - Colombia, Actualmente he sido diagnosticada con un Tumor de Cerebelo Meduloblastoma Grado IV, se que suena bastante aterrador y lo es, tambien se que si haz llegado a esta campaña es porque mi hermosa familia esta haciendo todo lo posible por mejorar mi estado de salud. Aunque no he escrito todo esto porque me encuentro en UCI luego de una cirugia extensa para remover el tumor, mis papitos me leeran cada uno de sus mensajes y oraciones en mi nombre. Hoy recurro a todos ustedes que me leen para pedirles una donacion, por muy pequeña que sea me ayudara con los gastos relacionados a la segunda parte y la mas fuerte de todas que es la quimioterapia y radiacion. Por la situacion de salud en la que me encuentro mi mamita se encuentra todo el tiempo conmigo y solo mi papi es quien tiene el sustento de todos, Pido a ustedes su oraciones, mensajes positivos, de mucho animo para seguir adelante y seguir pintando mis cuadros que es lo que mas me gusta hacer.
