Soeurs de Jesus Euchariste

I am Dr. Melei Lath, a dentist, and the director of an assisted living community in central Maryland, U.S.A. I am the sister of Mother Eugenie, the Mother Superior and founder of a convent in The Ivory Coast--the Fraternité Monastique des Soeurs de Jesus Eucharistie.
This page has been created to support Mother Eugenie and her selfless nuns in their efforts to teach, nurture, and protect the poorest members of their community, and the many orphans who come to them in need.

These brave nuns live in fear of rebel attacks and terrorists. Currently, they support themselves by gardening, baking bread, raising chickens and pork, and making various items, all of which they sell at the market. They use their money to support their charitable work.

They provide medical care and spiritual support to the local community, but it is their work with the children that is so critical.

Poor children and orphans count on these nuns for donations of clothes and food,for education and introduction to culture, and most of all, for safety and support.

They have a small chapel but they do not have a proper school. They dream of building a small school building and dormitories to house the orphan students, with a wall to surround their property as an extra protection against outside threats. This is what your donations will provide, along with supplies like food, books, and clothes for the children, and other neccessities.
