Sober Living at Oasis

Donation protected
Dear friends and family,

THIS MAY BE LENGTHY, BUT PLEASE READ IN ITS ENTIRETY.

First, we want to apologize to everyone for not explaining the exact nature of the “Go Fund Me” page for Oasis that was set-up last week.  We were trying to get the ball rolling as quickly as possible to generate funds for the transition of Oasis Women’s Recovering Community to the now Oasis Women’s Sober Living Community (Polk Street House).

As most of you may know, Anjanay is currently in “hospice care.”  Due to her illness and lack of staff, she is no longer able to provide a recovery program for women and had to surrender her state license.  Many have shared how sad it would be to no longer have Oasis to come home to, so after several discussions with Anjanay, it was decided to keep Oasis going and turn it into a sober living home.  This was the most prudent thing to do, so that the women who are currently residents would have the option of still having a safe and loving place to continue their journey of sobriety, if they so choose.

To make this transition, there are a lot of cost involved as well as current bills to be paid.  All funds received will go directly to Oasis for repairs, upkeep, bills and to assist that woman who has nothing when she arrives and needs help until she is able to establish some type of income.

We appreciate any and all donations that are sent from $1 and up—there is no amount that is too small or too large!  Thank you to those who have already given and thank you to those who will be sending in their donation.
