Snifferdog's UCLH Benefit Gig

Why support us?

I went to see my GP last week. “Good Heavens” he said, “I’m surprised to see you. The last time you were in here, I thought you were a goner.” That last time was just over a year ago. I was in the advanced stages of Non Hodgkins Lymphoma, had lost 15 of my usual 70 kilos, and could have been a poster boy for a famine relief appeal.

The fact that I’m still alive, back at play, and have had my faith in human nature massively restored, is entirely down to the inspirationally brilliant health professionals (doctors, nurses and support staff) at the Macmillan Cancer Centre at UCLH.

But anybody with recent experience of the NHS, will know that those who labour in it have been stretched to breaking point by the austerity and cuts of the last ten years.

So in an attempt to give something back, I’m breaking a 40 year old resolution never to step onto a public stage again, by launching my CD, Snifferdog The Strange Ways of Love, with a gig.

How your contribution will help

50% of all the money raised by sales of the CD and 50% of the income derived from its 10 songs on CDBaby, will go to the HAEMATOLOGY CANCER CARE fund at UCLH

And after the costs of staging the launch have been met (rehearsing the six other musicians involved, hire charges for lights and PA etc.) any surplus raised from this campaign will also go to HCC @ UCLH.

They saved my life and they need your money.

What's in it for you?

Donations of £10 and above will secure entrance to the launch gig at West Bank (3-5 Thorpe Cl, London W10 5XL - [email redacted]) on September 6.   2 minutes from Ladbroke Grove station.

£12. 50 and above gets a copy of The Strange Ways of Love (check the Snifferdog website for details) available on the door at WestBank or sent to your address if supplied.

Above £20 gets entrance to the gig and a copy of The Strange Ways of Love.
