While on vacation, my Aunt Grace and her family were involved in a terrible car accident. They were headed for the Grand Canyon on Friday morning the 17th of June when their tire blew out causing a rollover. Her husband Robert and mother Lily were killed at the scene, and her father suffered serious spinal injuries. Fortunately, her two children, Jacob and Jazmine did not receive life threatening injuries.

Grace is currently hospitalized with neck and back injuries, and her father has had successful spinal surgery, though doctors haven't noticed movement in his legs.

I've always known her to be a caring and loving mother. She was always happy and upbeat, and always made people laugh at family gatherings, and she is just a genuinely good person. I cannot imagine what she is going through, but I know she must (and she will) be strong for her kids.

I, along with the rest of her family, are asking for any support possible during this difficult time to help with medical expenses, the loss of her husband and mother, and to help her get situated with being a single parent.

We will be forever grateful to you and for her speedy recovery.
