Help us bring Smart Recovery to Sussex County!
In the midst of the opioid use epidemic, we need more options for recovery, and your donation will help us bring SMART – Self Management and Recovery Training to Sussex County. SMART Recovery® is a science-based addiction recovery program—where participants learn self-empowering techniques to aid their recovery by overcoming addictive behavior. The 4-Point Program® helps people recover from all types of addiction and addictive behaviors, including: alcohol and other drugs, gambling, sex, food, shopping and other activities.
Here at the Center for Prevention & Counseling, we utilize a variety of evidenced based practices, and we have had a goal for all clinical staff to be trained in the SMART Recovery model as we are certain it will provide greater treatment retention and outcomes for our clients. SMART Recovery uses evidence-based cognitive behavioral and non-confrontational motivational enhancement techniques and can be used instead of, or in addition to other recovery programs like 12-step fellowships.

The Center for Prevention and Counseling is a 501(c)(3) non-profit agency dedicated to building healthy families and communities for over 40 years whose mission is “to promote hope, health and recovery among all people by fostering a community in which individuals and families thrive.”
