New Small Houses Album
Something has come over me in the past year. I can't stop writing, I won't stop writing. It's what I look forward to most in the day. Playing the guitar for hours, singing a little, driving 5 hours, then showing up in your town to show you what I've been working on. Finally, if I'm lucky, after months of practice, I get to go into the studio and take a shot at recording a full album.
Here's the thing though, as you probably can imagine, the cash flow isn't very steady in the music biz. Some days I'm on top of the world, eating 5$ hambugers and changing the oil on the car 100 miles before it's due. On other days, I'm coasting into the gas station on 'E' with a half eaten bag of craisens I found under the seat. Still, none of that really bothers me, as long as I can get into the studio and get to work.
Here's the dream, you give me a little helping hand. Not even a year after releasing 'Still Talk; Second City', I'm dieing to get back in the studio, the only problem is, I'm broke. Maybe you could lend a buck or two? Damon Moon, head engineer at The Cottage Recording Co. in Atlanta, GA, and I are taking a step back on this next album. We're talking about an old reel to reel recorder, a secluded locale, and my favorite axe. We really want to strip this one down for the sake of not only keeping the process as cheap as we can, but I know a lot of people, myself included, are ready to hear a truly acoustic Small Houses album. No frills, just a dude, a guitar, a voice, and maybe a Wurlitzer or a lap steel.
Your contribution will not go unrewarded. Located down below, you can prepay for a digital download of the album. Purchase downloads of all the demos of these and past songs. Get some VIP treatment for you and a friend to a Small Houses show. Is there something else you'd want? Let me know, I'll do it, I don't even care what it is as long as we can get this album done. Let's do it together.
Really though, thank you for considering this. If you have any questions at all, please send me a message. Quentinband@gmail.com.
