SLM in Paris for Pastry School
The ultimate goal of Shikha la Mode since its inception has been to open my own dessert spot one day. This has meant finding training that matches my level of kitchen experience while offering something new. I soon realized that such a class doesn't exist in the United States. So I turned to the OG city for pastry—Paris.
I applied for an advanced pastry bootcamp at Ferrandi, a well-known cooking school in Paris—and got in! I'll be going this June to deep dive into tarts, entremets, and chocolate for an entire week!
I'm super excited for this opportunity, but I need a little help; the tuition is $5,000. I'll be bringing all my own equipment (knives, apron, shoes), but I'm looking for support from the SLM community to help send me there!
