Keep Charlie-Kay Out Of Aged Care.

Charlie-Kay was hospitalised with a rare form of an acute demyelinating disease in February 2017. AHL ( Acute Hemorrhagic Leukoencephalitis) which is a rare form of ADEM ( Hemorrhagic Acute Demyelinating Encephalomyetitis) . The onset comes on quick and sporadic causing inflammation of the brain, also damaging the protective cover (myelin sheath) that surrounds nerve fibres and the spinal cord.
The cause is unclear but may be from post infection (viral or bacterial) or from vaccination (MMR).
After 2 weeks in the hospital she deteriorated and was moved into the ICU for 5 weeks, during that time the Drs diagnosed her with this condition. She is currently unconscious and is out on the ward amongst other patients and the public with a compromised immune system. The hospital has reached the end of their treatment and there's no more resources for this rare condition. It's now time for her to come home for her family to continue with ongoing care. Charlie-Kay spent her 18th birthday in hospital and being 1 of 8 children, she will be very well  looked after. The family will need as much help as they can possibly get.
For Charlie-Kay to come home, she will need specialized medical equipment. For example : hospital bed, mattress, wheelchair, shower wheelchair, hoist, sling, medical consumables, transport, accommodation with disability resources, respite care, physical therapy, alternative treatments, and just unforseen costs to come in general.
