SLC HS Women's March on Washington

Hi! My name is Jillian Todd and I am a senior at Potsdam High School. On January 21st, women from all around the country will gather in Washington D.C. to march for women's rights. For my senior project, I am taking 12 high school girls from schools around St. Lawrence County to this event, which is titled The Women's March on Washington. We will be accompanied by 3 teachers from Potsdam high school. I am collaberating with a group of women from the Unitarian Universalist church on transportation. We will travel to and from D.C. on a coach bus. 

The money we raise will be split evenly between the 12 of us, and any remainging money will go to the chaperones or be used to pay for meals during the trip. The cost of the trip is $135 each.

The goal of this project is to promote civic engagement in girls my age. This will be a very fufilling learning experience for everyone involved.
