Skydive for Bloodwise and The Archie’s Foundation

On the 1st of August our 13 year old daughter Chloe was diagnosed with Leukaemia (CML), this came totally out the blue as Chloe had not been unwell, I had took her to A&E for a severe sore arm and thankfully the doctor done blood tests and within an hour we knew something was seriously wrong. Chloe was in Aberdeen for 8 nights and during that whole time she done everything that was asked of her and somehow she even managed it with a smile, to say we say we are all so proud of how Chloe has dealt with this is a complete understatement, she has such a strength and that strength has definitely rubbed off on everyone else. Chloe is thankfully now home and responding well to treatment. There is no words I can use to thank Aberdeen Children’s Hospital and The Archie’s Foundation for everything they have done for Chloe and our family, they are amazing people.  So myself, Barry, Kerri and Graham  are going to do a skydive to raise money. We will give half the money to Bloodwise which is an amazing charity whom do brilliant research into cures and different treatments for leukaemia and thankfully in the last 20 years treatments for leukaemia have changed so much. The other half of the money will go to The Archie’s Foundation as they are invaluable when staying in Aberdeen Hospital and definitely help so much with everything they have to offer.
