3rd Grade Field Trip

Our 3rd Grade team is raising money to provide our students with the opportunity to take their learning from inside the classroom to a hands-on environment! Unfortunately, at a low income and title one school, many of our students do not have the funds to pay for field trip costs. Recently, only a few of our students got the chance to go on a STEM field trip. Due to the lack of funding, only six students from each class was able to go. We are hoping to raise some funds to offset costs of two field trips that we have planned and give each and every one of our students the opportunity to experience these amazing learning environments!
Before the end of the year, we are hoping to have two field trips that all three of our 3rd grade classes can attend. In science and STEM, our students have been learning about the science of flight. They would get the chance to go to the Aviation Museum at Pearl Harbor. The link to the museum and all they have to offer is attached below. The second trip we are planning is to the Honolulu Theater for Youth to see the play The Adventures of Pinocchio. We will be having an arts residency provided by the theater that will teach students and teachers how to integrate drama/theater in the classroom. It would be an incredible opportunity to watch the strategies in action by experiencing a live play! The website for Honolulu Theater for Youth is also attached below.
As teachers, we struggle to see our students lack the opportunities that many other students receive. We are hoping to raise enough money to give all of our students the engaging and fun learning that they deserve! Our goal of $1,000 will cover admission fees and transportation costs. We greatly appreciate anyone who has taken the time to read this! If unable to donate, please share if you can!
