Kinkit and I are running the BathHalf on Sunday!
We are running for two charities in support of causes that are really important to us: Leukaemia Care UK and Alzheimer's Society (you can read more below if you're interested).
Thank you so much again to those who already donated last year - we have carried over every penny and will be giving it all to charity after the run!

Leukaemia Care UK
Leukaemia Care UK is a charity dedicated to supporting individuals and their families who are affected by blood cancers.
My mum had a diagnosis of myelofibrosis - a rare blood disorder that affected her immune system. Despite all the physical and emotional strain this put on her for a long time, she carried on being the most amazing mother to my brother and I. Although she was given a prognosis of 10 years, she pushed through another 14 so she could see us both graduate. Saying goodbye to her last year was the hardest thing I've ever had to do, and I wish she had never been so unlucky to have developed this disease, but I feel so blessed to have had such a wonderful mother who has taught me immense compassion and strength.
I hope to raise money to better the lives of others who are affected by these disorders.

Alzheimer's Society
My grandma has severe Alzheimer's and doesn't recognise even her husband anymore. Despite this my grandad is always by her side, making sure she eats enough and stays healthy. I wish we could go back to the good old days where she would yell at me and my sis to come down for an amazing dinner she had cooked while my grandad sat and watched TV. Sounds strange but I really miss those times when she was herself. Alzheimer's is one of the scariest diseases and I hope to raise awareness and money towards solving this issue.
