Anne Marie and Margaret are taking on this year's Air Race Classic as Team #24, Team Flying Tigresses .
The Air Race Classic is a cross-country air race, and is the oldest women's air race - this tradition began in 1929.
Team #24 will race in Pilot-in-Command Anne Marie's Grumman Tiger, hence our team name. Together Anne Marie and Co-Pilot Margaret will use this funding to cover the expenses of fuel and accommodation through the duration of the air race, and the commuting flights to the race' starting point and from its ending point. We will strive to keep these expenses minimal, so that we may donate the remaining proceeds to Galactic Unite which supports women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with Aerospace as an inspiration for those fields.
Together, Anne Marie and Margaret stand for pioneering women by taking-on this intense race, in which skill and preparation are tested to the max. And help them support the education of the next generation - and whatever form of aerospace-racing they might pioneer - through Galactic Unite !
All donors (who wish to) will have their name and/or logo featured on our website, and on scarves which will be carried with us in our airplane! All donors will also be named on the final donation to Galactic Unite.
