Siubhán O'Dubhain repatriation contribution

Donation protected
Three weeks ago one of Rostrevor's most beloved residents, Siubhan O'Dubhain had a serious fall whilst on Holiday in the Canary Islands, this fall has left Siubhan seriously ill in Hospital, however having been in ongoing contact with her family,  I know they have decided that Siubhan's ongoing recovery and rehabilitation would be best served if it took place in Daisy Hill Hospital, not 2000 miles away on a Holiday island.
Siubhan's present condition dictates that the only way to bring her home is by Air Ambulance at a cost of £30,000 which is not covered by her medical insurance.
Her family are preparing to pay these costs themselves, such is their determination to bring their beloved mother home.
Like many others, I have felt powerless to do anything practical to help Siubhan and then I began to think of all the times this extraordinary lady gave so much of herself to all of us. She has given our community so much over the decades, positively touching the lives of many hundreds of aspiring singers, actors & musicians and along the way entertained thousands with her quirky style of leadership and despite the reservations of her family, I believe our community may want to  express their love and gratitude for all that she has done, by contributing toward the cost of her repatriation.
Should you feel able to contribute any amount, I have no doubt the family will be touched as will Siubhan herself when she is well enough to return among us.
Please share this post widely to truly reflect the large circle of friends and acquaintances that Siubhan enjoyed.

UPDATE ON SIUBHAN'S SITUATION.

Siubhan arrived safely into Belfast last night (Feb 11th) and was immediately transferred to the Royal Hospital, she was accompanied on the journey home by her brother, Dr.Liam and he was fulsome in his praise for the way the journey went, particularly the kindness and professionalism of the medical crew who accompanied Siubhan from Hospital to Hospital.
Needless to say the family and I are absolutely astounded at the generosity of everyone who have so far contributed to her repatriation costs and I am in no doubt that once Siubhan is able to fully process the love and kindness shown to her by her friends & community, it will give her a much needed lift.

Thank you once again.
