Sistrunk Myanmar Mission Trip

We are excited and blessed to have the opportunity to return to the nation of Myanmar (Burma) in February, 2018. Jeremy and I were with a team led by my father, Mike Johnson, and Curtis Baker of Visionaries International based in Houston. We were accompanied by Pastor Rick Smith of Iowa, Jack Adams; an elder and evangelist in our home church; and Sylvia Garcia. While part of the team conducted leadership conferences for several hundred pastors and Christian leaders, the rest of the team ministered to the children in orphanages and churches.
On this outreach we are traveling to northern Myanmar, near the China border, to the Lashio tribe. There is a great move of God in southeast Asia currently and Myanmar is experiencing tremendous church growth as thousands respond to the Gospel message, accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Over half of Myanmar’s population is under the age of 30. There are hundreds of orphanages scattered throughout the urban and rural areas and many of the children have either become Christians or are very open to receiving the Gospel. The Lashio people are new to Christianity and there is a great need for discipleship, leadership training and church planting among them. Jeremy, Sylvia and I will be ministering to the children and training Children’s pastors while Curtis, my father, Jack and pastor Rick will be conducting a leadership conference simultaneously. We will also work together at a Sunday church service in the area. We are bringing along teaching materials, gifts, crafts and ministry tools to leave with the nationals to help in their work for God.
Jeremy and I are currently raising funds for the expenses of this outreach and are asking you to prayerfully consider giving to this missions outreach. We are scheduled to depart February 15 and return the 23rd. The airfare, lodging and food for both of us will be about $2,500. All donations should be made out to “FMI” (Frontline Ministries International) and are tax deductible. Thank you for your prayers and support as we do our part to expand the Kingdom of God and present Jesus to a part of the world that is experiencing a Divine move of God.
