Sindy's Last Wish ❤

Many in the Rapid City area know Sindy Dawiec as the friendly, loving lady who works the morning shift at the McDonald's drive-through on Mt. Rushmore Rd.
Sindy was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer 6 years ago, and given 3 to 6 months to live. She has beaten all the odds and is now on her 7th trial of chemotherapy. Despite how hard she is fighting, Sindy's cancer continues to progress and has metastasized into other areas of her body. Despite all of her chemo treatments and everyday pain, she continues to show up to work as much as she can, always greeting customers with a smile!

With a limited income, Sindy has one final wish that we want to help make happen before she is too ill to travel. She wants to return to Florida, where she was born and lived for several years, to be reunited with her daughters and grandchildren. She also wants to drive to Key West and have some real key lime pie for the first time in her life.
We have a request pending to help her dream come true with the Dream Foundation, however, due to the high volume of requests that they receive, it's possible that they may not approve a request until it is too late for Sindy to travel. Sindy will also need additional funds to help cover her living costs when she can no longer work. All donations will go directly to Sindy's bank account. Her hope is that she can travel to FL in late April or mid May.

Also, know this about Sindy: she is one of the most generous people you will ever meet, despite her limited income. When we had a church member come forward who needed help to make their rent for the month, Sindy was one of the first to donate, even though she likely needed that money for herself.
