Simmsey and Friends (again)

In March 2015, 3 back-room members of the Sheffield Steelers walked 90 miles from Coventry to Sheffield to raise money for Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity (their website).
The inspiration for that trek was Amy Usher (read more about Amy's story here)
It's taken the middle-aged men some time to forget the pain of that event, but (as we're now 3 years closer to 60) we have indeed forgotten and ... well ... we're doing another long walk.
But this time, our long walk is for 2 causes.
The 3 of the previous venture have become 4 and we're walking from the doors of Sheffield Arena (home of Sheffield Steelers ice hockey team) to the doors of Belfast Odyssey Arena (home of Belfast Giants ice hockey team).

Starting 20th February we will walk from Sheffield to Birkenhead (route details still to be confirmed) where we will catch the ferry across to Belfast; we will then walk from the port to Belfast Odyssey arriving on 24th February for the ice-hockey game between Belfast Giants and Sheffield Steelers. Almost straight away, we will turn around and return to the port to catch the ferry back to Birkenhead, and drive back to Sheffield, as we will have to be on duty for the Steelers game the next day.
All donations will be split 50:50 between the Amy Usher fund at Weston Park and Blake McCaughey.
We want to continue helping the Amy Usher Fund at Weston Park but we also want to try to help a young Belfast ice-hockey fan named Blake.
Blake's twitter account tells you more about the young man than we ever could.
Blake has a rare genetic disorder and needs a new specialist custom wheelchair which costs many thousands and we're trying to help his parents with that.
We're grateful for every pound that is donated and Weston Park and Blake will be even more grateful; every pound donated will make a difference, so please donate as much as you can.
