Dear Friends,
Nursing just opened me new doors. It gave me the opportunity to experience nursing in another continent and therefore to travel, meet extraordinary new people, learn new customs and techniques, see another realities and make friends from all around the world.
I always felt that I could give a little extra, leave my comfort zone, challenge myself and help to change someone's life.
This September I got an amazing opportunity to be part of Silkroad Surgery for Children and participate in Myanmar Medical Voluntary Mission for children with congenital body deformities. The group is formed by Surgeons, Anaesthetists, Nurses and Administrative staff.
We will be operating and also providing training for the local professionals.
As it is a voluntary position and charity work, all the travel and accommodation expenses have to be covered by me. Although the accommodation is not to expensive, but the international flight, unfortunately, is not that affordable., mainly so short notice.
It is the first time I am doing this but I am trying to reach your kind hearts and ask for some help to accomplish this personal dream and, at the same time, good dead. Any monetary help that you could donate would be more than appreciated. I will use it for a good cause and keep you updated of how this mission is going.
