RRMR Ranch for the Sensory Impaired

Tax deductible
At the Orange County Deaf Advocacy Center we have been helping people with sensory impairments since 1998. We are raising funds to start building the Richard Roehm Memorial Ranch (RRMR). Named after our founder the Richard Roehm Memorial Ranch is a self-sustainable residential training facility by and for the sensory impaired (deaf, blind, and autistic).

There are not enough resources for people with sensory impairments, so we are going to build them! People who are deaf, blind, and autistic need to learn skills to live with their sensory impairments and need a safe place to do so.  Some of them don't have families to support and care for them during this difficult transition and end up in nursing homes! In addition to being in an environment that is not set up to meet their needs, they are using up tax payers dollars to be warehoused! This is a horrible waste of money and more importantly a complete waste of human potential! Lets not let this happen! We can build a place for them where they can learn to live with their impairment and become productive citizens once again!

The Richard Roehm Memorial Ranch will provide housing and training while being built with sustainable and renewable materials. Each resident will live in their own tiny house. In addition we will have service dog training facilities and aquaponics that will grow food and Koi Fish. There will be classes on Sign Language, Braille, Social Skills and more.

We need $50,000 to get matterials. That will allow us to:

Finish paying off the 20 acres in Utah.
Take classes at Cal-Earth to learn to build superadobe buildings.
Buy a decent trailer and pickup truck with solar panels to live and work in while we build the buildings.
Enough materials to build two super adobe tiny homes.
Get started building the main house.
Drill a water well.

The sooner we have these funds the faster progress we can make!

Please join us in making this a reality and make a donation today! We are so thankful for your support, it means the world to us!
