Sigloh Family - Fighting Cancer

The first week of September our family received some terrible news: my little sister’s husband, Devin, was diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer that has metastasized in his liver. Devin and Laura have two small children, Lena (5) and Alexander (2).
Though the cancer is very advanced, three factors are hopeful. Devin’s overall health prior to the diagnosis was very good; the type of cancer he has is very common and therefore there are many options for treatment; he is responding positively already after only two rounds of chemotherapy. However, this will be a very difficult fight, and there is a long, uncertain road ahead.
Many of you know that Devin is a UPS driver in SE Portland who delivers homemade (by him and Laura) cookies during the holidays and visits his customers on off hours with the kids. Devin has been with UPS for 26 years and a member of the Teamsters #162 union for 19 years.
As Devin undergoes treatment, work will be out of the question, leaving all basic living and other expenses to be covered by disability, which leaves a large hole in household income. We have no idea at this time how long treatment will last.
As Devin and Laura try and reorganize a life that’s been suddenly turned upside down, we want to help them not have to deal with the financial burden of cancer alone. Please consider contributing on a one-time or monthly basis to the Sigloh family.
