Sidney Shea Tennison

Donation protected
As some of you might know, on the night of November 8, 2018, Sidney Tennison and Kayly Avelar were driving to their hotel after working out of town. Unexpectedly the girls were hit by a drunk driver, who left the scene. Both, Sidney Tennison and Kayly Avelar where transported to Bentonville Hospital in Springdale, Arkansas. Sidney's skull displacement was so severe from the crash; she was rushed to the nearest Neurosurgeon specialist and immediately taken into surgery were a Craniotomy was performed. Sidney spent a week in the Intensive Care Unit and is now in the Physical Therapy Unit preparing for her next surgery on December 12, 2018. As of now, we are fortunate that Sidney does have insurance, but Sidney will lose her coverage on December 31, 2018. Sidney's family has not been able to work as they have been by her side through this troublesome time. If you would like to assist with Sidney's financial burden, any donation will be greatly appreciated.  All funds raised will go directly to Sidney's medical cost and travel expenses for her family.

We appreciate the outpouring of love and support shown over the past days and undoubtedly, in the coming months. We will also use this page as a way to update on Sidney's recovery. Once again thank you for all your support during this challenging time.

We have decided to make a timeline of Sidney's recovery:

The morning of November 8th, approximately 12hrs before the accident.

This photo was taken 24 hours after the crash. The driver was charged with driving while in intoxicated. We were told first 24 hours critical in her recovery, no stimulation of her brain and swelling would peak at day 4.

She started responding positively after the 4th day. This picture was taken on day 6, where she was still in the ICU. Her CT scans showed no stroke,  no bleeding and no brain damage besides swelling.

This is the area that was displaced and the wonderful work performed by Dr. Thai.

Sidney is now walking without her walker!

The hospital where Sidney is recovering at also did an article.
