Sick Children's Outdoor Area

Donation protected
In the morning of the 29.6.2017, our 4,5 year old son went into cardiac arrest, caused by a severe septic shock and a pancreatitis. Our son has Leukemia, and the Whittington hospital is helping with his chemotherapy in shared care with Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Against all odds, the dedicated staff at Whittington did not give up on our Philip and brought him back to life after 22 endless minutes of no heartbeat. After four hours of stabilisation, he was ready to be transferred to GOSH via CATS, who did an amazing Job as well. With the most possible effort, the doctors and nurses from the PICU managed to treat Philip's life-threatening condition, so he could rest and started recovery. Within 6 days he was stable enough to be released from PICU to Giraffe Ward, where he will stay for now.

I knew before, that Whittington tries to extend their outdoor area for the children on their IFOR and Rose Ward, but lack a bit of funding. I do not have to explain how grateful our family is, and how deep our heartfelt appreciation goes.

Let's help them building the outdoor area! Any funding is going to be split, 70% will be given to Whittington Hospital and 30% will directly go to the cancer research department of the extraordinary Great Ormond Street Hospital, both located in London.

A heartfelt and warm thank you very much for your support in this difficult times.
