Children's book about sickness

Thank you to everyone who supported my first children’s book on homeless education and awareness. It has been adopted as required reading in the San Francisco public school curriculum, and is being considered for the same in Pittsburgh. That the book was able to reach so many children in libraries and classrooms was because of your support. My follow-up children's book is on sickness. A very dear friend of mine just had a run-in with cancer, and she inspired my project to explain the concept of sickness to children. I have done this in an easy-to-understand and graphic language that covers cancer, HIV, and sickle cell disease with text and images that remind us of our fragility but also of our inherent strength and the amazing medical community that helps to cure these diseases. I've been going to children’s hospitals and working with a range of doctors, therapists, and social workers to get the language just right.
