Shyden's Medical Funds

Aloha I am reaching out to all my family and friends to help support our friends in need .  On Oct 25, 2016 my dear friend Shy Kaneholani-Ponte along with her husband Bryon Ponte took their 8 year old son Shyden Kaneholani-Ponte to the doctors due to severe pain in his adomen, fever and loss of appetite.  From there his doctor admitted him to the ER for more testing.  Later that evening the test came back with evidence of a tumor between his kidney and liver.  At this point they got medevac to Kapiolani Hospital to do biopsy on the tumor.  On Oct 27, 2016 Shyden was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma  which is a cancer often found in the small glands on top of the kidneys (adrenal glands). Shyden is only 8 years old enjoys knee boarding , fishing and playing with his friends.  Shyden  will now be faced with starting chemotherapy on Nov 15, 2016 through a period of 6-8 months he will be undergoing 6-8 chemo treatments.  This has been the most devasting results any parent can be told and have to go through.  Due to the demands of Shydens treatments with travel expenses time loss in work, caring for toddler twins and 2 older children Shy and Bryon are now being faced with a major financial hardship .  Please we are asking for all your prayers and support in this time of need.  All funds will be going directly to Shyden and his family.  Mahalo
