Abel 2 Nonprofit is Excited to Present: SHOW-Ability ™ -- A welcoming, entertaining talent showcase, in an environment that's safe and enjoyable for people with disabilities to come alone or with friends and family! You'll dance, you'll sing and have lots of fun!
Abel 2, Inc. (pronounced “able to”) is an Atlanta-based 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, that is elevating activism, representation and education for people with disabilities, through the Arts. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for people with disabilities and the under-served through music and arts opportunities for both employment and enjoyment, creating self-confident agents of change and dismantling unintended barriers.
In celebration of 28 years of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Abel 2 Nonprofit is hosting its SHOW-Ability™ talent showcase to promote VISIBILITY of vast capabilities of the disability community! SHOW-Ability™ features bold, audacious performers with disabilities of all types FOR an audience of people with disabilities and their care giving communities: parents, caregivers, siblings, friends, etc! The event, scheduled for late October 2018 during National Disability Employment Awareness Month, will include an interactive “Talk-Back” session at the end of the concert.
Created and produced by Myrna Clayton, an internationally renowned jazz singer, artist development coach, as well as founder and executive director of Abel 2, the SHOW-Ability™ line up includes headliner, DELVIS—The Elvis Entity, a captivating entertainer on the autism spectrum; singer Rusty Taylor, a quadriplegic, who beautifully croons Jazz standards; hilariously funny comedian Mr. MiraKool, who has cerebral palsy; poetic author Christy Priester, who is a wheelchair user and the Fashion by D'Shacourt Limitless Models, including models with developmental disabilities.
Why are we doing this? Because we are powerful and we are economically viable!The disability community is a vital and viable population representing two billion people globally (over 64 million in the U.S. alone) and includes every race, culture, economic status and gender. Although 1 in 5 people in America have a disability, the population is often overlooked.
Every artist deserves a stage! Every audience deserves a good time! SHOW-Ability offers both! Please help us to make the dreams of these artists a reality!

$1,000 : Personally signed thank you note by performers, two VIP tickets to pre-show reception, one specially designed SHOW-Ability™ poster, 12 general seating tickets to event, three-quarter page ad in collectible event program booklet
$5,000 AND UP: Personally signed thank you note by performers, four VIP tickets to pre-show reception, one specially designed SHOW-Ability™ poster, 20 general seating tickets to event, full page ad in collectible event program booklet, private concert at a non-profit of your choice.
*Please note that funds raised in excess of the $8,500 requested for the October 2018 event, will go towards producing a six-city SHOW-Ability™ tour in Georgia/Southeast in 2019.
