ON BEHALF OF SEAN AND CHRIS HASKINS:

Sean is my cousin who is several years younger than me.  His mother Leah is one of my mother's younger sisters.  His wonderful wife, Chris, is his tower of strength and support.  They have a huge farm in Wasola, MO with many heads of livestock, including a bunch of new calves who require extra care.  They have tons of acres of fields to hay on their farm and so much of the same on his parent's farm which they have always helped with.  They are and have always been crazy hard workers!  Since I live in Minnesota and Sean and Chris live in Southern Missouri, I haven't been able to do much from afar except pray and stay in contact with them.

As we all know, fuel prices, food and the high cost of medical expenses these days can be overwhelming on any good day much less during a catastrophic event!  God says we are to help those in need.   In Galatians 6:2 "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ".  So to help "bear their burdens"  with all of the medical expenses, travel expenses and daily living expenses I am starting this Go Fund Me page to raise some money to help them out.   Chris has been doing a lot to help with the farm, but Sean isn't able to do much now.   They have no idea I am doing this but I have felt God's calling to do this since he was first diagnosed.

THEIR STORY:
April 23,2019, Sean and Chris received some news they weren't ready for. He had been having health issues since December, with a severe backache. In Sean's words; "We had been to the er 3 times, one by ambulance, seen by my primary doctor, a specialist, and a chiropractor. I have had ultrasounds, ct scans, xrays, blood tests, urinalysis all with no answers. The pain kept getting worse, and I continued getting infections, and I was out of breath. I thought I was just getting lazy. The doctors thought it was kidney stones, ribs out of whack, perhaps gallbladder issues. But the tests came back inconclusive. On our last trip to the er, my wife told the doctor on duty "we were not going home without an answer." An mri was done and we received our answer. I have been diagnosed with multiple myeloma, bone cancer. I spent 6 days in the hospital with more tests to confirm the "answer". I have a tumor on my spine wrapping around the cord and pressing my nerves. This is where my pain is coming from. Someone telling you that you have cancer isn't good news, but I needed to know what was wrong so I can move forward. Started radiation immediately, will have chemo after that, then most likely stem cell implant. I cannot say how thankful we are to the people who have called, stopped by, offered to help, and visited me in the hospital. Thank you for all who are praying".

Then, on June 6, 2019, they are finally home after 21 days at the Cox Hotel(hospital) from a blood infection(sepsis).  In Sean's words "Paralyzed for about 24 hrs, having to retrain my body to walk and use my limbs again. Building back my muscles. Chemo seems to be going well. Thank you for all the calls, visits, cards, and facebook messages. And prayers. I have said many times that God has put some wonderful people in my path. I am thankful for my friends and family".   He is finally back home on his farm where he is slowly recovering,

Thank you to all of the family and friends who have helped them with the farm chores from taking care of the livestock, haying and so many other things.  Keep the prayers coming for them.

Please pray about how you can help them out by donating to this, their Go Fund Me Page.   Thank you.
