Shoot the Moon - The Movie

Donation protected
If you are reading this, it is no doubt because you know of the work that I do every week with Crrow777.

Over a year ago, we decided to make a film.

That film has since come to be known as "Shoot the Moon", and its purpose is to properly represent the vast amount of telescope work that Crow had completed over the course of several years, giving up most of life's comforts in the pursuit of knowledge that couldn't be had anywhere else.

Crow captured many unusual things that cannot be easily dismissed as every day objects, not the least of which is what is now known as the Lunar Wave.

No one that we are aware of has captured as much as Crow has, and during the course of this film we will be giving these many incredible clips to the public, in a format never seen by anyone...and in a resolution not even Crow himself has seen.

In addition to the object captures, we will also be showcasing all newly shot interviews with Crow, as well as with Randy from Houston, discussing their telescope work in great detail.

It has been quite an enlightening experience, to say the least.

I have invested as much as I have had available to me to make this film everything I felt it deserved to be.

As of the posting of this note, the rough draft of the film has been completed, and we are on target for our Spring of 2019 release.

If you know how we operate, then you know we do not compromise on anything, and most certainly do not work with anyone in the mainstream side of things.

This poses numerous problems for someone wanting to release an independent film far and wide.

We want to get it shown in as many different venues as possible, as well as fulfill the desires we have received from many in our wonderful community for a physical copy of the film, both in the DVD and Blu-Ray formats.

Here comes the honest part.

All of these things require funding, and all of my limited resources have already gone to the production side of things.

So here I am, setting up a crowd-funding campaign, so that the film can be properly distributed and can get to you, the intended viewer, in the next few months, in whatever format you wish to view it in, whether that be at the local cinema, your own home theater setup, or just a laptop at a desk.

We are working very hard to get this film to you in every way you have asked us for.

The amount I am asking for is to recoup the many thousands of dollars I have had to invest in a modern computer, camera equipment with all of the necessary accessories, multiple storage devices, professional color-grading/editing software, as well as the not so minuscule travel expenses that were incurred going between Louisiana, Rhode Island, and Texas to do the principal photography and file acquisition.

The breakdown is actually really simple, although I doubt it would actually go down quite so evenly, if it turns out be a successful campaign: if 2000 people donated just $10 this one time, the goal would be met.

And, if the goal is met, then the doors will be open for all that we need to do for you.

And let me add one more thing to all of this.

I now own professional-grade film-making equipment.

This is only the beginning.

If this film does well, Crow and I already have plans for two more, and the need for further campaigns such as this will almost certainly not be necessary.

We are all part of the larger Crrow777 community, and I hope we can all make these wonderful things happen...and I know we can, if we all do so together.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and to consider supporting our work.
