Sherwood Open Gardens

The Sherwood Community are trying to raise funds for the very first Sherwood Open Gardens which will be held on Saturday 8th June. Sherwood Open Gardens will be a fun, family event where guests can visit a selection of gardens in Sherwood whilst enjoying cakes, drinks, stalls and activities. Sherwood Open Gardens will be raising money for Stonebridge City Farm and Framework.
In order to run the Sherwood Open Gardens, we are fundraising for a number of overheads which are essential to the running of the event. As this is our first year, we have no reserves from previous years. We have already received some financial support which should cover public liability insurance and publicity materials.
We are aiming to raise £500 from the local community. This could be from people who support the event but are not able to attend, or anyone who wants to help make the event successful, to raise as much as possible for Stonebridge City Farm and Framework.
This amount will go towards some of the following:
· Garden host information packs - to help the hosts to be as organised as possible on the day
· Children's activities
· Contribution to the cost of fuel for the free shuttle bus to be provided by Nottingham Community Transport, supporting less able visitors to see as many gardens as they wish
· Other equipment and miscellaneous costs
The wish is to ensure visitors have the best possible experience and that the event raises as much money as possible for the charities.
Money donated on this page will go directly to the Sherwood Open Gardens group and be used towards these costs. If additional money is raised over £500 then this money will be saved and put towards the next Sherwood Open Gardens event (the plan is for this to be an annual or bi annual event).
